The Taranaki Floral Art Society visited Toko School today.

Today our enviro class showed 67 ladies around our school to share our enviro learning.  It was a lot of fun and they bought lots of our yummy produce.  It was the most amount of people we have shown around in one time.

Check out our Pumpkin Patch Preparation

Our Enviro Warriors are have been busy preparing our pumpkin patch.  In autumn we put all our leaves into black bags to decompose.  Today we emptied the bags and put them in the pumpkin patch. We also put in compost from our compost bins.  Then we planted our pumpkin plants that we grew from seeds.  Then we made a fence so the chickens couldn't eat our pumpkin plants.

Sustainable Backyards

Toko School is on the  Sustainable Backyards Trail this year.  Our students have had a lot of fun showing off our schools enviro initiatives.  We have also had a road side stall selling lots of our produce.
